Our Story

Every family has a few inside jokes that take on a life of their own — and for us, that joke became The Sea Chicken. The name started as something silly we laughed about for years, and somewhere along the way it turned into a symbol of who we are: lighthearted, close‑knit, and happiest when we’re by the water together.

Sanibel has been our family’s favorite place for decades. It’s where we’ve spent countless summers searching for shells, watching the sky turn pink at sunset, and slowing down long enough to appreciate the simple things. When we discovered Blind Pass, with its quiet stretch of beach, wildlife around every corner, and that unmistakable Sanibel magic, we knew we’d found our spot.

After nearly two years of rebuilding with the help of friends, family, and a whole lot of determination, The Sea Chicken became more than a nickname — it became a place we’re proud to share. A place filled with memories from the past and ready for new ones to be made.
